Welcome to the web site of the American Laryngological Association,
founded in 1878. The ALA is a scholarly organization of physicians and scientists
who have made significant contributions to the care of patients
with disorders
of the larynx, and upper respiratory tract. The ALA fosters advances
in the field of laryngology, by means of an annual scientific program for
presentation
of new information, panel discussions, and scholarly lectures.
The ALA also acknowledges outstanding achievements in the field, by conferring
several
honorary awards.
The annual meeting of the ALA convenes during the Combined Otolaryngology
Spring Meetings. Non-members, especially residents in training, are encouraged
to submit abstracts in consideration for presentation. There is an award
for the best paper submitted by a resident. The Proceedings of each meeting
are published annually, and the official journal for publication of manuscripts
is the Annals of Otology, Laryngology, and Rhinology.
This web site provides information on upcoming and past meetings, as well
as a directory of fellows and officers. |
