2017 Annual Meeting

138th Annual Meeting of the American Laryngological Association

April 26-28, 2017
Combined Otolaryngology Spring Meeting (COSM)
Grand Hyatt Manchester, San Diego, CA

Important Dates:  The 138th Annual Meeting will be held as a three half-days meeting, In collaboration with the ABEA that is celebrating its 100th anniversary, there will be a joint session on the third day, Friday, April 28th. In recognizing the European Larynglogical Society (ELS), the ALA invited its membership to participate as moderators and panels.   We welcome our colleagues to our meeting.

President, Dr. Kenneth Altman, and the Program Committee, chaired by, Dr. Ted Mau,  reviewed 104 abstracts submitted from both international and domestic colleagues to seek the most advanced research and case studies reports.  With the additional of the third day session, we were able to invite an additional 12 podium presenters. The result of these additional talks enabled the committee to create an outstanding and  educational program.

In additional to the Baker Lecture, "Will the Vocal Ligament Become an Appendix in Humans,"  that will be delivered by Dr. Ingo Titze, Dr. Randal Paniello will present the State of the Art Lecture, "Rehabilitation of the Neurally Impaired Larynx." Four manuscripts were submitted to the Casselberry Award Committee for consideration. This year's selection, "The Natural History of Recoverable Unilateral Vocal Fold Paralysis: 12 Months is Too Long to Wait" will be presented by Dr. Ted Mau after an introduction by Dr. Paniello who served as committee chair.

We encourage you to attend this year's meeting in San Diego. If you have not registered, you may access the COSM website by clicking here.
